Quality
The quality of our Teleprompters begins with their design.   All Telmax teleprompters have been engineered by people who have years of experience in the video and teleprompter industry and who understand exactly what our customers are looking for in their teleprompters.
The teleprompter can be broken down into three equally important components: the BeamSplitter mirror, the hardware, and the software.

The BeamSplitter mirror is one of the most important and most overlooked components.  BeamSplitter mirrors are rated by transparency.  This numeric rating represents the ratio of light that passes through the mirror vs. light that reflects back at the subject.  For example, a 60/40 rating means that only 60% of the light will pass through to the lens of the camera, and 40% will reflect back. 

A 60/40 mirror has become standard in the industry; however, our years of experience have taught us that light is one of the most important elements in the process of shooting video.  Cutting the light by 40% is simply too much.That’s why we only ship our products with the highest transparent BeamSplitter mirrors available.  All Telmax teleprompters come standard with a more costly 70/30 BeamSplitter mirror, minimizing the light loss to the lens of the camera while still providing an efficient reflective surface for the scrolling text.

The Telmax on-camera teleprompter’s unique mounting system allows it to fit all sizes of cameras and tripods. In fact, as the manufacturer, we guarantee that it will.
Telmax manufactures all of its teleprompters in Vero Beach, FL. With the exception of the monitors, all components are 100% made in the United States, providing the superior quality and craftsmanship that you would expect from an American-made product. 

Each teleprompter is built out of industrial-grade aluminum and given a durable, almost indestructible, baked-on finish.

ZaPrompt Pro Teleprompter software is the most advanced teleprompter program available today, and it is the only teleprompter software that can be programmed to speed up, pause, and slow down, which eliminates the need for an operator.

ZaPrompt Pro is easy to learn and easy to use, and it will run on both PCs and Macs.  You will be amazed; within a couple minutes, you will be creating scripts and scrolling them on your teleprompter’s monitor.
The advanced text editor provided by ZaPrompt Pro allows you to create your own scripts, using a full range of features including system fonts, spell check, text coloring, and many other text formatting tools.
The software’s easy-to-use control window lets you configure how the text will behave once it starts scrolling. For example, you can manipulate the text’s size, speed, mirroring, smoothness, image quality, and more.
In addition, the program offers margin controls that allow you to move the right and left margins, which lets you move the subject extremely close to the teleprompter while still keeping the text centered on the lens of the camera.

Once the controls are set, simply press the big “Run Prompt” button at the bottom of the window, and the text will start scrolling. You can control the scrolling speed with the arrow keys or by dragging the speed indicator at the bottom of the window.
By using the smoothness control, you can program the test to stop and start at every new line or group of lines, rather than scrolling continuously.
The advance timer will determine how long the text will run, based on your speed settings, and it will help you follow the progress of the script.

With simple key-strokes in the scrolling canvas, you can add bookmarks, create loops, jump in and out of the script editor for quick edits, change the font size, shift the margins, and jump to a previous line.
If you press the record button, then everything you do—such as making a change in the speed or pausing the script—will be recorded as part of the script. When you play the script, the software will incorporate all the adjustments you recorded.  This feature completely eliminates the need for someone to sit at the computer, operating the software while you are filming.  Jump to the recording window to view all recorded events and make quick adjustments.

One of the program’s newest features is its patent-pending network interface, which allows users to run one or more teleprompters remotely anywhere in the world through an Internet connection.  The end user simply needs to download the remote application from our website and then follow the instructions for creating the connection.  Once connected, ZaPrompt Pro will send the scrolling text over the network connection.   This feature is only available in ZaPrompt Pro 3.0 or later.
